So, how did we get here?

Where it all began

2021-Two worlds collide. Katie moves to San Diego for grad school and Lauren finishes up her last year at USD. Yes, we were just friends :)
The first date

2022-After a few hang outs at church and a local bar, Lauren asks Katie on their first date. Little did they know it would be the best first date (and the last) of our lives!
The second date

2022-Four days after the first date, Katie asks Lauren on the second date to a SoFar concert. Lauren would later use a future SoFar sounds concert as a decoy for her proposal.
Lauren graduates

2022-Lauren graduates from USD with a BA in Political Science.
Celebrating one year

2023-We head to Temecula to celebrate our one year anniversary!
Katie graduates

2023-Katie graduates with her MA in Leadership Studies from USD.
First international trip

2024- Our first international trip to Mexico City officially infected us with the travel bug, so much so that we went back the following year.
Three year anniversary

2025-We head to Catalina for our 3 year anniversary. Despite the rocky boat on the way out, we will be back!
Lauren proposes

2026-Lauren gets an air bnb, hires a private chef, has live music, which goes down in the best proposal plan in history.
Katie proposes

2026-Unplanned, Katie ALSO proposes to Lauren on the same. exact. weekend.
Surprise!

Katie throws a surprise party post proposal to celebrate their engagement!
